The YALI RLC East Africa Alumni Chapter of DR Congo is organising a two-day, hands-on encryption training for 20 journalists and human rights defenders. Across practical sessions, participants will learn how end-to-end encryption protects their sources, their communications and their data in the context of the realities of working in the DRC.
Beyond building skills, the training aims to create a network of media and civil society voices able to explain why strong encryption matters and to speak up against measures that would weaken it.
