Encryption for secured activism and communication in Côte d’Ivoire

Our initiative is a two-day workshop on behalf of 60 stakeholders including activists, human rights defenders, journalists, representatives of organizations of people with disabilities, students, young people, local authorities. This workshop will be held from 20th to 21st October 2025, in Abidjan, Yopougon, Astoria Palace. Over two days, participants will explore importance and evolution of encryption, encryption : issues and and methods for protecting data, strengthen communication, what strategies we can adopt to promote encryption and reach activists who live in remote areas who need it, show practical exercises on Encryption that will enable all participants to discover how encryption works.
After the completion of the workshop, we expect to have participants aware of the importance of the encryption and promote it around them ;
Participants become mentors and share lessons learned with members of their organisations and or communities ;
Particiapnts master the encryption techniques and use them to encode and decode their messages ;
The establisment of permanent encryption services to users by Action et Humanisme
